The family’s craft begins with goldworking, the repair of wedding rings and the careful keeping of old tools. Across four generations, skill is passed on through ordinary work, patient observation and an understanding of what people choose to keep.
After the family’s move to California, Volynska Fine Gems takes shape in a modest Los Angeles jewellery workshop. Closely placed worktables, order folders and conversations with clients become the setting for a new beginning.
Anna returns to the family business. Her chapter brings a fresh focus on planning, clearer records and the everyday journey from a client’s idea to the maker’s bench—while learning to respect the experience already there.
Old tools are cared for, working knowledge is recorded and younger hands are invited to learn. Progress means making room for new ideas without losing the attention, memory and human connection at the heart of the work.
